Arches by Rotganzen

Arches by Rotganzen epitomizes the acute vulnerability of our heritage. Rotganzen drew inspiration from historical gates and arches, like the ones in Dendera and Persepolis. The ravages of time have transformed these landmarks into symbols of transience and their instability emphasizes their continuing fragility. Destruction seems inevitable, and in some cases, like in Palmyra, has already occurred. Using the building blocks of our youth, Arches leaves no doubt that we are all capable of building, and, with often greater ease, of destroying. Arches is a metaphor for a world teetering on the brink of collapse.
